Heidi's Community Service

  • Chair, American Fork Neighbors in Action, 2003-2004. Organized large-scale volunteer activities, public information campaigns, etc.
  • Member, Parks Steering Committee, 2004-present. Met regularly with city officials and contractors to oversee park upgrades and coordinate volunteer activity.
  • Secretary, Parks Task Force. Task force united several city committees and interest groups to propose and promote park improvements.
  • Board member, Downtown American Fork, Inc.
  • Co-founder, American Fork Community Foundation.
  • Co-founder and Executive Secretary, Greenwood Neighbors Initiative.
  • Has served as a PTA officer and PTA Legislative Liaison.

Other Interesting Facts

A native of Kent, Washington (near Seattle), Heidi moved to American Fork in 1998, after living for nine years in Ithaca, New York.

A professional pianist and organist, Heidi is often seen accompanying excellent choirs and soloists throughout Utah Valley. A seasoned writer, her experience includes newspaper feature articles and a wide variety of other projects.

She earned her BA from Brigham Young University in Russian, with a minor in German. She graduated with University Honors and was a member of the intercollegiate College Bowl team.
