Here's the Most Important Way to Help:
- VOTE FOR HEIDI in the Primary Election on October 4 and in the General Election on November 8.
Here are Nine More Important Opportunities:
- Contribute funds to the campaign. Campaigns run on money, as you know. But if you can't or don't want to make a financial contribution, there are a lot of other ways to help, and they're important, too.
- Put a sign in your window or yard. See your sign options here. You could even persuade a friend to do the same.
- Tell your neighbors and friends you're voting for Heidi, and tell them why. Try e-mailing them the URL of this web site: www.heidiforcouncil.net. Or get extra campaign materials from the campaign.
- Volunteer to take flyers door to door in your neighborhood, stuff envelopes, or help the campaign in other ways.
- Host an informal meeting of friends and neighbors at your home, so they can meet the candidate.
- Write a letter to the editor supporting Heidi. The best approach is to coordinate your letter's message with the campaign overall; this is optional, but you are welcome to contact the campaign to discuss this. See also this outside material on writing effective letters to the editor.
- Send us your written, signed endorsement of Heidi. Use this form, for your convenience. Up to three different things may happen with your endorsement: it may be quoted at this web site; it will get your name on a list of American Forkers who endorse her, which will run in the newspaper; and you may be quoted in other materials. (Note that without your signature, we can't put you in the newspaper ad.)
- Call or e-mail friends and neighbors on or shortly before Election Day, to remind them to vote for Heidi.
- Give friends or neighbors rides to register and to vote, if they have trouble getting around on their own.
