Signs

The Regular Kind

Campaign signs (like the red one above, but much larger) are now available. If you'd like to post one or more in visible locations at your home or business, contact the campaign. We're printing a few large signs for high-traffic, high-visibility locations; if you have such a place or know a sympathetic person who does, please let us know. In any case, before you post a sign, please see the note below about the City's sign ordinance.

If you don't want to wait for the traditional sign, or even if you do, here are two signs you can print and put in your window. One is black on white, the other is white on red; pick the one that suits your printer (or decor). Both are PDF files; if you don't have Adobe Reader, you can get it free here.

About the Sign Ordinance

According to American Fork City's sign ordinance, political signs (among others) may not be placed on a public thoroughfare or in the right-of-way. Believe it or not, the right-of-way extends from the street, across your sidewalk, and ends one foot inside your sidewalk. So put signs at least one foot inside the sidewalk.

Putting up a sign is an important contribution in itself. But if you're able, please also consider donating funds to the campaign, to help defray the costs of . . . well, signs and other necessary stuff. The campaign gratefully accepts contributions, large or small.
